Security | Artificial Intelligence | Case Studies
The event goes beyond general discussions about artificial intelligence and focuses on real-world implementations, systems and robust security measures. We take a deep dive into the intersection of AI deployment and data security, with emphasis on NIS2, DORA, GDPR and EU AI Act compliance.
The program features practical case studies, AI governance strategies, guardrails, audits and defense against emerging threats – including post-quantum risks and bias mitigation – all drawn from the experience of leading regional experts and organizations.

C-suite executives and business leaders looking to turn AI into tangible business value while maintaining regulatory compliance.
CISOs and information security professionals seeking concrete architectures for secure AI deployment.
Data protection officers and compliance teams navigating EU AI Act, DORA, NIS2 and GDPR requirements.
Technical specialists and AI/IT architects who want deep technical knowledge from live implementations.
Marketing, product and innovation professionals exploring how secure AI can transform customer journeys and internal processes
Dr. Franc Bračun, Deputy Board Member and Chief Data Officer, NLB d.d.

Dr. Franc Bračun brings over 30 years of experience in the banking sector and leads strategic initiatives in data management and AI adoption across the NLB Group. His focus is on developing advanced AI solutions - from generative to agentic AI - and on ensuring the secure, ethical and compliant use of AI technologies that boost productivity, improve decision-making and support key business processes to enhance the customer experience. The session will present NLB's approach to secure and strategic AI deployment, and show how to effectively adopt and scale AI use in support of key business processes.
Aleš Gorišek, AI/IT Architect, NLB d.d.

Aleš Gorišek specializes in generative AI systems (LLMs, RAG, agents, vector databases) and leads the AI architecture for productivity enhancement and strategic integrations. Two case studies will be presented: A system that enables employees to query internal policies and circulars with automatic updates and referenced answers. An agentic AI system that analyzes flagged cases to reduce false positives and free up resources in large-scale operations.
Klemen Rizman, AI Director, CREAPLUS

Klemen Rizman is an expert in data science and generative AI, leading AI projects and research at CREAPLUS. This is the public launch of AILA 2.0 - a comprehensive generative AI platform tailored for regulated environments. Learn how it enables enterprise-level AI deployment and control - with emphasis on security, data oversight, AI usage monitoring and cost management.
Mario Jurčević, Head of Information Security, KONČAR – Digital

Mario Jurčević, Head of Information Security at KONČAR - Digital, brings extensive experience from regulated environments, including Raiffeisenbank Croatia, the Croatian National Bank and the European Central Bank. The session will explore how cryptographic security solutions protect AI workflows: from key management and data encryption at rest and in transit, to practical DORA and PSD2 compliance when AI models, inputs and outputs all need protection.
Cvetka Poštuvan, IT Architect, Bank of Slovenia
Cvetka Poštuvan led the adoption of artificial intelligence in a highly regulated environment and oversaw the deployment of BSI AILA, a secure CREAPLUS LLM-based AI assistant in a hybrid setup (on-premises/cloud). Learn how a central bank successfully deployed generative AI for processing extensive documents with zero tolerance for hallucinations, with particular emphasis on information security, confidentiality and compliance.

The event will be hosted and moderated by Petra Kovič, Editor-in-Chief of Svet kapitala, a leading business publication under the Delo media group, with 15 years of journalism and editorial experience at Radio Slovenija - Val 202.
